Pick one of the maps to host and then it will load and start ok .

If it comes up with a error after you do this you may need to defrag OK

Are people really playing this again? I once tried it myself and thought it was pretty fun, but lonely.

I just found my cd for the 2845 download on it

So I will be in the future be posting the link to

Ok if links stops working again go here ( games.on.net/ ) ok, in the search box on there site add this ( Starsiege 2845 ) it will find two files The Alpha Tech Release patch and the Alpha Tech Release game . you can download them without logging in. I have done it .

Description
Change List for 1.1a
Check version.txt file in root directory for a full list of changes contained in this patch. Please note this patch contains all files previously released in the 1.0 and 1.1 patches, so with a fresh ATR install you only need apply this one patch for it to be up to date.

PLEASE NOTE: You will only be able to see servers running the same version as you when using the server browser. Servers running older versions will not show up.

How to use Server Admin features
At the bottom right of the players screen (hit F2 while in game) you will see a Login button. Press that and type in the server admin password set in the preferences ($Pref::Server::AdminPassword) and click OK to login. You can also use the console function SAD(Password); to the same effect.

Once you have logged in, you will be shown as a [Super] on the gui and will be able to right click any player on the gui. Right-clicking a player will bring up a menu with Kick and Ban. Those are the only two options at this time. To clear the popup without selecting a menu item, you can either left click on any player or close the gui.


IMPORTANT:After applying the patch, go to C:Program FilesStarsiege 2845 Alpha Tech ReleaseSS2845aseprefs and delete your CLIENTPREFS.CS, SERVERPREFS.CS, and CONFIG.CS FILES.

After that go to C:Program FilesStarsiege 2845 Alpha Tech ReleaseSS2845 and run cleanDSO.bat before starting the game. You will need to reset your configuration data after doing this.
