1.)Find out what your IP ADDRESS IS
2.) OPEN THE MASTER.cs file in your scripts folder
3.) find the following line
$inet::IPBroadcast1 = "IP:Broadcast";
Edit it...................... ...............^here^.............replace the word broadcast with your IP address and the port.
Here is mine as an example of mine
$inet::IPBroadcast1 = "IP:24.3.52.152:29001";
If you do not do the following it is possible that no one will see your server because more than likely you are broadcasting on your routers 192.168.1.1 address and you don't want that because its not public, in other words..your not getting past your own router because starsiege has not been told to do otherwise.
I own a besfr linksys 4 chan router standard stuff and this little fix will fix you in a jiffy if you are having issues getting out of your own router. I would suggest checking your software and hardware firewall rules if this does not work.
****************ADDITIONALLY******************
If you are still having problems. Keep the above fix in place and perform the following.
Find out what internal IP your Starsiege is broadcasting on, this can be done by hosting a game then running another session of starsiege and going to the multiplayer panel and look at the server listing, you should see your server. Probably the only server that you CAN see.
Anyways scroll over so you can see the IP's and player count and map fields but pay attention to the IP field. Look and see what the IP is. mine broadcasts on 191.168.1.100
OK..NOW
Open up your admin panel. I use a besfr41 linksys and it shouldn't be that much different for you if you have something else.
Find your option screen for
PORT RANGE FORWARDING
this may be called something else if you are using some other type of router.
the port range you want to start should be 29001
the port range you want to end should be 29009
and your address should be the adress that you had when you viewed it in the mulitplayer panel while looking at the server listings.
hope this helps.
