Everything you have suggested has been tried numerous times without success. It's either impossible or it would require too much effort for something this old and obscure.

Starsiege is not open-source. Even if it were, it would probably take one or more professional programmers a rather long time to accomplish anything with it. You are mistaking changing a few scripts with programming or game development. They are different by an order of magnitude. I am aware of one person who is making a few Earthsiege vehicles to import to Starsiege. This involves 3-D modeling and animation--also something that is normally left to professionals. It is not realistic that he will be able to recreate ES2 in Starsiege and he is smart enough to not try. Making even a single new model is a substantial project. I recommend you join and hang out in our IRC channel w.tarazedi.com/IRC if you want to discuss some of this stuff. There is a major project going on, the GSE. See gse.tarazedi.com. It will take at least a year or two to complete because unlike hacking vehicles up or making a random map it involves a great deal of careful planning and real work. Come talk to me or Drake or Snow if you want some advice on your own projects.

I have a professional 3-D modeler and animation she is in my pocket and she said already when Im ready to do starsiege with another engine she help me.
Now as for how hard it be it wouldnt be that hard if we can find a way pass the copy rights is the hangup. One programmer can do most of it then afew other people to help here and there ,,
But you will find out as I did alot of the programmers will not touch it because of copy rights too Starsiege.
