I think that this site needs a thred which explains how to star playing Starsiege on multiplayer.
A thred which hosts all the information you need to know and all the materials you need to be able to play Starsiege with you guys, when you have games available.

Hey Raymond I was talking to Eye about that not too long ago. I completely agree, as there are some steps involved with getting Stasiege to work. I just might have to make it myself and ask Eye to sticky it + make a link for it on the front of the site. In the mean time, I'll quote a similar post, which does describe how to get things running. Hope this helps in the meantime if you had questions. If you are confused by anything, or have a question, please leave a reply and I'll try to get back to you soon. "Starsiege is still up and running, kept alive by the small but very dedicated group here. Granted, weekdays are slow, but things pick up on the weekends, especially at night, which is around 8-9 Pacific Time (-8.00 GMT). We get some nice 5v5+ weekend nights, which are very fun. I urge you to come back around and re-introduce yourself to the community, we're always happy to have past and new players come around. There are some hoops to jump through first though, but they're not that hard. First, if your computer is Windows Vista or Windows 7(?), you'll want to download the "Windows Vista fix" located beneath the yellow chat box. Also, you'll need to update your game version from 1.000 to 1.004, located in the same box. Lastly, you'll need to update your master file, which you may find here: starsiege1.proboards.com/index.cg....splay&thread=51Once that is done, you'll be ready to join the servers and get down to playing. On behalf of the Starsiege community, we look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!" If you have downloaded Starsiege from a file online, you may need to download a "noCDpatch" if the SS download didn't include it already. It should say one way or the other. There is one in the same white download box beneath the yellow chat box, but I've found most of the downloads to be confusing. I have found one that works automatically, and I'll give you the link for that, should you not be able to work out the one in the downloads box. I've used this link with success. sundragons.110mb.com/SS%20Crash%20fix.zip

Thanks for everything, My own Starsiege never worked and I had to download the cd content and mout the cd, install the game, use the patch and the vista patch. It works and now you gave me access to the no cd patch. Thanks a lot, I live in Sweden which is in GMT +1

I'm glad to hear that it worked for you! That's why I wrote that tutorial. If I may ask, are you new to Starsiege, or are you returning from inactivity? If you are new to it, how did you hear of it?
Hopefully I'll see you on the battlefield, good luck out there.
I'm not entirely certain, but if you burned a CD (through Eye's links, correct?) then you shouldn't have to use the noCDpatch. I have never tried that, so I wouldn't know definitively. Was it crashing after 5 minutes of gameplay with the burned CD?

I had a adult friend which gave me the game as a gift (not a game interested person) anyway, she didn't need it and probably didn't know anything about it but gave it to me as a gift. Yes it is a old game and I know that there are many old games that are good like StarCraft, Homeworld and Unreal. Anyway I installed it, the patch didn't work so I downloaded the complete one from one of your guides patched and ready (however I liked the old MFAC energy bullet look before the patch)

I have never used a no cd patc hto this game and personally think that if it's possible to mount then it's better because you wont need to bother finding no cd patches which may not work.

raymond this is a response to youre statment. Snow wrote in another message, should be anyones answer to making SS work. www.putlocker.com/file/A4CF9EF0B008AD8EA Starsiege install that should install right up without any problems, and can be played instantly. So no more file searching for the Vista fix or the 1.004 patch. Discs are unnecessary, and everything is fully playable: Tutorial, Training, Campaigns, and Multiplayer. Master.cs is current. Campaign includes a few fixes, such as the Cybrid scannex now actually working, Cybrid mission CD4 having a grammatical fix, and human mission HD2 "Ticket to Ride" allowing you to complete all objectives. Edit: Link was dead. New link alive once again thanks to Cole.
