This is where we need someone to post info on Linux So the people running Linux you need to post info on install of Starsiege ( from step one to end ). To help people and add links to any downloads a person needs OK .. Ok If you run Linux - you need to run ( WINE ) www.winehq.org/

Linux runs Starsiege like a dream, from what ive heard, all of them say it doubles the frames per second(fps), and also it clears up most of the terrain Glitching to pitch black problem.
I know of one person that run SS on linux right now, that would be ROM. Hes computer savvy and would probly come on here and give detailed instructions, if someone anyone would give him this link and ask nicely. GAME ON

I have it running on the latest Ubuntu. download wine. use wine to install starsiege download the patch use wine to run the patch copy dinput.dll from the starsiege disc to the starsiege folder run starsiege through wine
I am still having no sound once im on a mission though. Sound works fine in the menus though.

Sound works now. i just had to change the wine audio driver in the wine config

Have done a clean install of SS on my Linux machine. There are a lot of improvements with the newer WINE versions. I do not need to copy dinput.dll anymore. Currently I am running from my CD but this is annoying so I will be applying the noCD patch.
