FPS...What Is It? Framerates Per Second (FPS) is the rate of images, called frames, that are displayed on the computer monitor per second. A low FPS in games will have more stutter or lag, while a high FPS will have a more smooth, continuous gameplay with no lag. The main cause for low FPS in games is due to a weak computer system that is unable to handle complex shaders. When it comes to computer gaming, enthusiasts will always try to maximise FPS in their games for obvious reasons..to have a smooth enjoyable gameplay experience. To measure FPS in Windows Games, there is a free software called FRAPS that shows exactly how many framerates per second your game has. Users who have not already downloaded this, should do so immediately. OK here the link to read all this on ( FPS ) www.squidoo.com/ImprovingFPS
