Mouse help

I sent a SS CD to a friend of mine and he is running Win 7 , we have done all the fixes for the game to get it to run and it works great except for the mouse or cross arrows in the game they are intermittent, I walked him through the help on for the mouse fix on here and he said that it got better but it is still hard to target in the game . Any suggestions that I can give him to try?

Now didnt say if he had got the mouse to work ? is step one .

Thanks Guys I will pass the message along to him. He said that last night it worked a little better when he went from a 100.00 mouse to a 10.00 one ,
