Do u know how many close fights ive been in. It comes down to the last shot, both red, now i may miss this last shot CUASE I HAVE NO HUD then they shoot and dont miss, Because they might be using the no hud loss cheat. Do u realize gravity of the situation. No, you probly get pwned too fast before your energy has time to go down.
And you dont think its a cheat lmao, its fkn cheat, hack, script, exploit, what the fk ever. I think you use it too u hack.

Part of configing a vehicle, is to config it properly, so that your hud doesnt drop. If u alter this hud loss by other means than simply configing a vehicle, its cheating//hacking

You know...it's not that hard to aim without your HUD. Try it sometime, just practice all day long without it.
Your reticle is literally in the center of the screen, and usually near it when you move it. It's not very hard to imagine where it would be.
Also, maybe they just save their energy.
why in the hell are you so paranoid?

I'm another DWR that has no issue with HUD loss unless I intentionally create a config that does drain energy for the hell of it.
Also - from a 10 year vet to another I have no idea vet - just bashing vehicles in a fight while shooting each other is not the 100% best way to fight unless you are in an oly. You fight and conserve ammo and energy not shoot and hope you hit something.

You know what I could do? I could make a script that hides your reticle. I believe that would be a good script to practice with.

Do you realize how pissed i would be , if i found out someone that just beat me, one of those hypothetical fights, the ones were ur both red, the last shot landed wins, and i miss mine, cuase my hud is down, and he lands his last shot cause he still has a reticle when his energy is down

Sorry, but I'm definitely with surge on this one. Even if it only grants a slight advantage, any advantage is still an advantage.
Okay, so it might not make a difference if you're in knife fighting range, but what about... oh, say, someone with chained blinks at 900m? They're too far away to hit reliably if they're staying on the move, but they can keep raining damage on their opponent because their lead indicator is still telling them where to aim. Remember, once you hit 0% charge your energy weapons get priority for recharging over everything else.
Or in another situation... a Dread pilot goes to a micro reactor to gain some more agility. He can still fire his PBWs as soon as they're charged, every time- but because his HUD never goes down, he loses nothing by shortchanging on his reactor. That extra agility will make all the difference.
In the SP game, or against AIs... then it's just a mod. Against another player, it is a cheat... and if it became standard then it would only serve to further reduce the number of viable config possibilities, especially for tanks, light and medium hercs which rely more on agility or armor to prevent damage rather than shields alone.

Good grief, $Gui::MapCheat = True must be a hack too! It must be, has the word cheat in it. But honestly, I don't have much say in whether or not the script, as simple as it is, if it is legit or a hack.
BTW this thread has been derailed extensively. It will be a long hike back to the tracks with this one.
